DESCRIPTION:
L.J. Harri., Amsterdam, boxed sextant, 200mm radius, tulip form metal frame with dark finish, signed brass arc with inset silvered scale readinng -5 to 140, thumbscrew vernier adjustemnt and index arm lock, index magnifier, triple sun shades for index and horizon mirrors, sighting scopes, mahogany handle, all in felt-lined mahogany box with certificate under the lid dated 1913.
CONDITION:
The wooden case has a few cracks and some finish loss. Silvered scale has darkened. Some finish loss on the back of metal frame and feet. Green felt lining has deteriorated along some edges of the box. Good paper certificate inside from a Dutch meteorological institute.
